Great movie based on the book by Nick Hornby, starring Hugh Grant. It's English and about a man in his late 30's living off the royalties from a hit song his father made. He lives a shallow life, pursuing single moms for easy sex and ego gratification.
What's so great about the film is how it goes from being really funny to bringing us to the serious side of this man and his need for more in life, and how he finds it in meeting a young boy who is the son of one of the single moms he meets.
I laughed so hard. I remembered it when the Rolling Stone review of Dan In Real Life said that the two movies were written by the same guy.
