We Must Not Forget

This came in an e-mail from my sister in GERMANY! I've changed the content to match what I've found on the news about UK schools. It's sentiment remains. Apparently, this e-mail is one that's been circulating, but the part about UK schools was based on false information.

It is a matter of history that when Supreme Commander of the Allied
Forces, General Dwight Eisenhower, found the victims of the death camps he
ordered all possible photographs to be taken, and for the German people from
surrounding villages to be ushered through the camps and even made to
bury the dead.

He did this because he said in words to this effect: "Get it all on
record now - get the films - get the witnesses - because somewhere down the
track of history some bastard will get up and say that this never happened"

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do

Edmund Burke

Some UK schools and some teachers are avoiding the teaching of the Holocaust for fear of offending Muslims. (It used to say: In Memorial

this week, the UK removed The Holocaust from its school curriculum

it "offended" the Muslim population which claims it never occurred. )

This is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world
and how easily each country is giving into it.

It is now more than 60 years after the Second World War in Europe
This e-mail is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the
six million Jews,

20 million Russians,

10 million Christians

and 1,900 Catholic priests
who were murdered, massacred, raped, burned, starved and humiliated

while the German and Russia peoples looking the other way!

Now, more than ever, with Iran, among others, claiming the Holocaust
to be
"a myth,"

it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets.

I removed the comment that was here because it was poison. It said that this post is rubbish and has no fact. No fact? The holocaust didn't happen? And why do poisonous comments have to be anonymous? Afraid?

Two things are mind boggling: the defense of homosexuality as right instead of wrong, and the hatred of Jews. I see it displayed in poisonous responses on my blog.

What was World War II all about, if the holocaust was a myth? What did my father's generation behold when they went into the concentration camps, if it was all a myth? Did you see the documentary The War?

I note that you haven't bothered to remove your original post even though I have pointed out to you by comment and by email that the UK has NOT removed the Holocaust from school curricula.

However, given your generally rascist and scared-of-foreigners stance, I'm not surprised.

And you call yourself a Christian.

Please read my e-mail. And, you have not read my blog in any detail to have made the comment that you have. Hating Islamo-fascism is not rascist.

People who condemn and say, "you call yourself a Christian" always do it anonymously. Why is that?

You know exactly who I am. I am the person who replies to your emails.

Any way have a read at this http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/holocaust.asp

I do dislike a closed blinkered mind.

One of reasons for disliking Muslims in general is, and I quote 'They have no tolerance, they persecute people such as homosexuals'.

According to your second comment on the left, that is exactly what you think.

Also, you don't actually believe that WWII was all about the holocaust do you? You should learn a little history you know.

What is all this rubbish about 'condemn '? I am just pointing out that the story is not true. I live in England and would have noticed. You choose to believe it because it fits with your bigoted prejudiced views.

And yes you are a rascist. You hate people because they follow a religion and/or come from a specific country
