Learn From The British

This comes from my cousin, a staunch defender of the 2nd amendment.

I used to be for a gun ban, then two things occured to me.
1. I saw coyotes chewing on the carcass of a deer in the forest preserve across the street from a row of houses. My immediate thought was that if I lived there and had small children, I would own a gun and know how to use it.
2. The politicians who are for a gun ban have body guards who carry guns. Ditto hollywood stars. Apparently they believe that their lives are worth more than ours. I say h-e- double hockey stick no! People who can afford body guards (or have them paid for by the taxpayers) are not worth more than those of us who cannot afford a body guard.

I do think that people who own guns should be tested on proficiency. If they are too far off the mark at the range, they would be a danger to their loved ones with a gun in an emergency. Please keep in mind that I grew up in the city, and currently live in the suburbs. If I shoot out into my yard and miss, the lady across the way is in danger if she is outside, etc..

I forgot to mention that I am a firm believer in the 2nd amendment! But I guess that was implied. Those are interesting and valid reasons.

I can't own a gun because I've had times of being delusional and I know that having a gun at those times would be dangerous to me and others. I nevertheless strongly believe in the right to bear arms.

Hi Gabrielle!
Great video!
Everyone should have the right to defend themselves when necessary. What a strange twist of events for this poor man Tony Martin! I heard of a case where a burglar actually won a lawsuit because he injured his arm breaking in through someone's window!
We do have a rifle, even though we live in a residential area. Actually, we bought it from Walmart for a remote cabin we have up in the mountains of Gilboa, NY just for emergency, not even for hunting, and it gives us a sense of peace, knowing that would be the first response when and if the police arrived.
