Gaslight - 1940 creepy
Story of someone who should be loving someone but trying to make them go crazy. I once thought these kinds of movies were just weird entertainment, but more recently I've been looking at old films like "Whatever happened to Baby Jane" because actually filmakers often are trying to get a message across. These strange stories are the stories of how people in the west can become extremely unwell. To clear up confusion between this and the one only four years later, this is the British film. Another film that is similar is "Rebecca" from the book by Daphne Du Maurier and directed by Hitchcock.

God (Hashem, Adonai, Elohim, Jehovah, Yahweh) Is Love
The God of Israel is the only source of genuine love. There is so much hate today and many people only think of sec when hearing the word love but even the ancient Greeks had defined love as having different types and only one type was sexual, Eros. They had two other categories of love, Phleo and Agape. Phileo is all non sexual friendship, affection. Agape is God loving people through authority figures: pastor, counselor, parent. Today people are too thick to even understand any of this. The Greeks also had a man named Plato who defined for them a non sexual friendship that can exist between a man and a woman. So you'd have to conclude that people today are not even progressed as far as the ancient Greeks.

Long story short: Nevada was not yet a state, by making Nevada a state Lincoln could get their votes, and win the election that would allow him to end slavery. Nevada supported his cause bc many northerners had moved there. The telegram was needed to make them a state and do it quickly.

While some of D'Nesh D'Souza's notions I think are a little off, such as him saying "the answer is to be Republican." But I liked his film telling the history of the two parties, and he mentioned this lady, shown here, Ida B Wells who he shared an amazing quote by her. I suppose he considered her to be a Republican black lady, but he tells how she was fighting for the cause of freedom. The quote, "without vigilance, you cannot keep your freedom" were the words she was penning on paper where they found her, dead. These were her last words. The word vigilance says to us that we cannot just sit back "on our laurels" and stop fighting. We must continue to fight.

The lyrics are prophetic, and this year I was born sort of marks the beginning of civil rights bc this was the year that Rosa Parks would not sit on the back of the bus. It's discouraging how people don't want to change, but I will not let hope disappoint me.

Some man praised the minds of women and how well women can think
but I can't think of whom, I only know that relationship with Satan will not make a woman smarter, it will only make her think she is smarter and I do think women are only really wise and brilliant through relationship with God. But with that in mind....there are several female authors to tout in this writing. They were mainly English, they wrote mainly for children. One, who is English, is George Eliot, alias Jane, who wrote, in my opinion better stories than Dickens. Another is the author of Black Beauty, for children, and the author of I Am David, also for children, though she may not be English, but she's European. The pathos of their writing are probably ones that only women generally are capable of having. But they are humble. I know Eliot was humbled in her experience in life.
But some man said that women have a stronger connection between the two halves of their brain that sends information back and forth more quickly and easily so that they are better able to borrow from both sides in order to have insight. I heard a pastor from Missouri or somewhere out there, who has an Italian background who said his wife was amazing to him. He said she could see Satan and his tactics from far away. Joking, he said she would be able to say, "yeah, he's going to be at such and such a place at such and such a time," and he found her companionship in his ministry extremely helpful. But I do think female narcissism will cause women to lose this, because it's a gift from God.
Incidentally, I think sometimes men say things about women out of an admiration that is so very great which I find myself doing as well about the opposite sex, but I do believe that I am seeing more things about I never knew and one is that a man's mind has capablities that women don't have, reason why I believe they are the main defense that we have against Satan which would have been corroborated by the early apostles. But again, these are lost I believe when men lose relationship with God, but their powers of perception are nothing less than amazing.
Men have been able to deceive me better than women have.
How does anyone process the Holocaust with any positivity?
Writers like Elie Weisel and Erich Fromm, wow, you wonder how they survived with any optimism, but I was thinking of a positive about this. One, I posted that the Jews were about to go back to Israel and the devil knew that and was really trying to keep it from happening however foolish that may be. Another aspect is that you can see in history so many times when people were unhappy in a society they would narcisissitically take it out on someone else, they'd find someone else to blame. Today we have many unhappy people in America so you hear people talking of dreams of socialism and how it would save them bc then like China under Mao you could level the playing field and then the rich would be eliminated and then eliminated as well anyone you would envy. This is what happened to the Chinese during Mao's revolution, and it happened to France in their revolution. People were angry at the aristocracy and they were boiling angry and slaughtered them, but so did the Chinese. Well, my theory is, since Germany was suffering economically, though it seems people were suffering in America too, that they looked over at those Jews, people who in exile have been able to take good care of themselves and generally are clever people, and they were jealous, and also jealous of favor from God. And in a maniacal manner inspired by a maniac they just thought to get rid of them, thus rid oneself of the source of envy. What disturbs me is how often this happens to people who are white but the Chinese proved it is a human problem eh?

To Whoopi Goldberg
I think I get what you were saying about the Holocaust. And I think that this partially comes from the difficulty if you're black and there is racism, that no one can mistake you for being black. But if you understand the seriousness of what was happening in a land, Germany, that was so homogeneous, you'd understand how much racism they felt towards people who were "not that much different" in appearance. If a person could hide that they were Jewish it was seen as an escape from horror. And do you realize how much Jewish people have had to go through? Black people and Jewish people living amongst white people have shared much of the same journey, and pain. Please see the movie "Julia" starring Jane Fonda, which displays so much of what I am talking about here, since Fonda plays Lillian Hellman who was a Jewish writer of the 1930s and 40s, daring an underground mission in Germany. A record I was just reading about a lady who was a spy during this time working against Hitler says that because there were so few blacks in Europe it was not considered a huge problem regarding Nazis, but where Nazis found blacks they were against them no more, but no less than the Jews. We have to assume based on this account that they rounded them up and killed them And we ARE seeing a resurgence of racism and white supremacy as the next generation from yours and mine (I'm same age as you) advances and that generation that seems to not have learned anything from those before them and wants to repeat history. But the seriousness of white supremacy is a red flag for all non-white people and that certainly will include Jews no matter how well they seem to blend in, bc white supremacy has a way of including them too. And you are hearing this from a white lady, bc some of us do care. You and I were born the year Rosa Parks refused to sit on the back of the bus. I've seen this journey and hearted this journey all these years and it is discouraging to see how racism doesn't want to go away. But I will remain hopeful as I hope you will too. It always occurs to me that a person has to be brave just to be black.
