prophetic word from 1975

Prophetic words I find usually only reveal themselves as true in a rear view. Out of the past a word given by someone in 1975 comes back to me. I attended a small local Bible study with peers. Gifts of the holy Spirit were present. I heard "you are THE generation." 

Often you walk away pondering something like that, but have no idea what it means. Years later, immersed in the sexual revolution and people getting careless and with drugs being used, I just assumed that was not a word from God. 

I met a guy in 2016 who was quite a bit younger but was very strong, mature, and we liked each other and then I learned he was married. I got insight into why he liked me

 He said how he wished he could have been born to be in my generation bc he loved the culture, music etc. Just recently I thought of him and since then have been just appalled at the destruction of his generation. Then I realized how he would cherish a female of mine. 

Then it hit me how we reached this summit of embracing equality and had this explosion of creativity that may have come partly from our embracing equality. And then I remembered that prophetic word and realized it was true. Quite an attempt has been made to eliminate our generation but I think that despite this, we still ARE the generation that will cause America to go on and complete our destiny to bring freedom and equality to this world. 

Both my grandparents and parents' generations contributed to this. Some have seemed so young while being the next generation and have been creative and wise all at the same time. Some have held my hand and helped me through hard times.  Now that they are gone I'm ok with it bc they fortified me while here, plus the book of Jude says they visit from heaven too.
