Sidney Poitier

His movies make me think. He came from Africa. African people please understand what I say. I've met wonderful Africans. But some seem to lack an awareness of their gifts, and in turn resent American blacks, Poitier was one bc he truly became American, for the fact that here they truly found themselves, many of them

 They found the strength within and found their gifting like never before. 

As people who share the same genetically, Africans, I would think, should feel proud of being made of the same stuff. But I find this many times is not so, that people coming from Africa seem to have a poor attitude towards our blacks and they themselves don't seem to have found their own amazing selves so they are groveling. It is sad. I so cherish our amazing, brave, and talented blacks. I only wish people who are the same genetically, when I am not, would feel this same pride and appreciation.
