Was reading Kant's writing from back in the 1700s and he is a good example of how in the west people have demonized sexuality in general in the past, and not made distinctions between right and wrong, good and bad sexuality. He says sexual desire is bad in general and that it leads people to wrong behavior. Wow. No recognition that people could have such desires and NOT do wrong? So I call him Mr. Kant as in CAN'T HAVE SEX haha.
Stats--he was German...Immanuel Kant was born April 22, 1724 in Königsberg, near the southeastern shore of the Baltic Sea. Today Königsberg has been renamed Kaliningrad and is part of Russia. But during Kant’s lifetime Königsberg was the capital of East Prussia, and its dominant language was German.
Here one can see how such a man contributed to the despair over ever being "pure" or a true Christian. And this despair led to extreme self indulgence and Satanism in Germany, what dominated during WW2.
Kant also says that sexuality is for procreation. That women continue to have normal sexuality after being fertile shows this not to be the case. Why did God make us this way? Because sexuality exists apart from procreation, and is mainly a way of expressing the deepest, most intimate love.
There is other evidence that sexuality is not for procreation only. Saying that it is only for procreation means we have the same sexuality as the animals, which leads to the question--if for procreation only why don't we behave as the animals? Why do we need to bond one to another for life? Why not just go out and hook up for procreation like the animals? Our sexuality differs so dramatically from the animals. Animals don't have pleasure in sex. Look at cat sex. The male puts his "male cat penis" in the female, it suddenly springs forth bristles like a brush, the female screams, and it's over, he pulls it out. This is the nature of animal sex--they do this as an obligation to nature, they don't seek the kind of bonding that we do. Also, there isn't the emotional and spiritual scarring that can occur with humans. Animals don't "feel used" like humans. No, procreation as the only reason reduces us to the level of animals.
