Booth last words

Quote: Upon jumping to the stage after shooting President Lincoln, Booth shouted "Sic semper tyrannis!" (Latin for "Thus always to tyrants"), which is also the state motto of Virginia.

End of quote.

Booth was angry at Lincoln for freeing people but since at the expense of a way of life in the South, (?) he considered Lincoln a tyrant?
This is twisted twisted thinking.

So the freeing of people being at the root of losing the South's type of economy and luxury meant he hated Lincoln for freeing them and even called him a tyrant?

I'm not making any sort of connection between today's protesters saying anything about Trump being a tyrant. If people are concerned and want accountability there is nothing wrong with that. People should be allowed to express themselves and cause others to think.

I'm talking about the Confederacy at the time of Lincoln's assassination. That crazy of white supremacy plus the narcissism of wanting the lifestyle slavery afforded the South rather than wanting freedom for slaves while in a country that espouses liberty and pursuit of happiness for everyone, is a hypocrisy that needed correcting. Yet, people like booth thought their cause just. And assassination appropriate. Hard to believe.

This kind of thinking is what we need to be on guard against...
 Today!
It has a way of getting into people like a virus.
