NIV translation Jeremiah 17: 9

The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? God had already determined this at the time of the flood. Then he brought His Jewish people here to bring the Holy Word and the presence of God, then He sent His son, the Christ, and if after all that you still fit the description in Jer. 17, what kind of retribution do you suppose you will receive? Hebrews 10 says if after all this and all the biblical knowledge, you sill rebel against God you can expect only "fiery indignation!" Don't kid yourself, don't deceive yourself!!
