I lived in Los Angeles, way back in the late 1970s to early 80s. I met this guy at a church who offered me a car, a 1960s Volvo. We were "just friends." No "benefits." He sat with me in a living room and told me he thought the problem with our American males was their mothers. I recall this now many years later bc then it didn't register bc, you know, young and dumb. Now I think, who was that guy, lost touch with him, he's brilliant!
