Here is a liberal site angry at Obama for being open to a Christian ex-gay, Donnie McClurkin, because McClurklin has the audacity to declare that there is hope for gays to go straight. That's right, "the audacity of hope!" They are angry at the idea of being healed of your homosexuality. And Obama wants to hang with this guy, so they are appealing to him to stop that.
But most likely, Obama was trying to appeal to conservatives in this move, and you just can't please everyone.
