I realized he had a German name and immediately I noticed a tendency to recoil so I sought to at last erase my profiling problem.
I started to look closely at German history, and was recalling an English documentary that talked about Germans back at the time of WW1.
They were saying that the Germans were insecure at the time of WW1 because they had been the cutting edge back in the day but now America and England were emerging as the dominant people who were the truly innovative.
Then I realized if you look back you can see Germany WAS the dominant country and a leader to cause progression as America had now become.
You look at Bach and then Handel and Beethoven and others.
And they were spiritual leaders and moral.
Interesting to notice how Charlie Parker came to New York in 1940. Thus began the huge cultural injection of black Americans and how odd, right at the beginning of the war. So here America was cutting edge, most progressive,. newest musical styles. But this had been the Germans' signature.
Germans had film at the same time it had begun in America and in England as a huge cultural phenomenon.
Animation had begun in the 1920s in America with Felix the cat and Mickey Mouse.
And Disney. But Germany fell behind in that as they plunged into darkness.
In America there was jazz and lots of creativity, but the innovation had been so German.
So I take it that pride took the place of self worth. Strange how it can do that.
You look back and you realize that Martin Luther and 1517 were phenomenal as a turning point in western history. We find it hard to realize that the world before this was extremely dark.
Standing up to political Christianity as Martin Luther did was one of the bravest acts in history.
But who didn't like it, besides Satan?
Humans. You just didn't see them. There were humans in love with Satan. 1517 was their most hated moment in history.
Every step forward like this in history comes when people who are inspired by Messiah dare to make a radical move toward a better world against so many doomsday prophecies and negative expectations. It's messianic. It's moving towards the Messiah being on earth as king.
Because the Bible talks about those who "shrink back" at the thought of this out of fear. Not the right kind.
And it talks about those who "wash their robes" in anticipation of Christ.
It was a huge misconception in the modern world after the reformation that evil had been eradicated.
This was even expressed by a Jewish man Elie Weisel who had been in a concentration camp who said "how can such evil exist in the modern world?"
I used to think the same way, partly bc my swedish forebears were like this, but now have some answers to this question. And why do people become more evil as we get closer to Messiah?.
One reason is that iniquity abounds with time. So the Bible says, bc it doesn't get a remedy. The remedy is rejected. People like Weisel actually reflect the belief that the redemption of Christ was opened up to people so much more after the reformation. Rabbi Neusner another Jew believed this too. But there is free will.
And contrary to the apostle"s warning "don't let freedom become an opportunity for your evil nature" that is just what many have done.
Calvin's belief became popular right at the time of the reformation teaching that God had willed you to make a wrong choice so it actually gave people an excuse. But the truth is your will is still free to opt out of a wrong choice otherwise this would not be the good news. The concept is fate controlling you that you have no control over and it's an ancient pagan belief.
But that belief was strengthened by people having the sense that they seemed bound to a wrong choice by the immense degree of iniquity in their souls bc iniquity got passed down.
It's true that so much iniquity passed down limits people in making right choices. Yet free will still exists. People can still opt out and embrace Christ's salvation. Renewing the mind, going through a redemptive process. This is not easy. But salvation comes prior to all of that.
And even though salvation isn't lost, sin still has a price and causes grief and pain.
But the Germans. I have realized how they are gifted. Really gifted. They have that technology knack that the Japanese and Chinese have. They make the better cars, musical instruments etc. Just like the Japanese and now the Chinese.
They have musical talent. Creative. Daft Punk is the result of a guy learning "German Disco" then coming to the States and writing for Donna Summer. From there he wrote for Daft Punk who has European members as well as Spanish and American black members.
Very "E Pluribus Unum," but the origin is German showing how they have changed.
It causes me to wonder if their time since being liberated from a dead Christianity is actually the source of their immense giftedness. Maybe they accessed more of what they are capable of.
I have a sister who moved to Germany years ago and loves living there. She is so proud of them for how they have changed.
But look at how at the time of WW2, it was also when the Jews were just about to go back to is Israel. So one remaining prophecy, with hardly any prophecies left to be fulfilled and now it was happening. And Satan had rallied humans bc he wanted to stop it.
Ridiculous of course but he never has seemed to be rational. See Isaiah 14. Humans who are enamoured of him are no more rational.
JEWS
I think they tend to have a big heart and cannot or did not see people for what they were, not discounting that there were Jews who betrayed other Jews in the 1940s.
But they tend to want to be very idealistic and live in love not hate (Rob Reiner) but they have been an object of hatred. So, much effort has been made to discourage them from believing in Jesus by utilizing false Christianity (Inquisition. Etc.) I would not want to be guilty of that before the creator!!
Germany had become the ideal place where people were fair, tolerant, open minded. Jews had grown to trust them not seeing the evil that was creeping in. Thank God there were those who began to recognize what was happening, Germans too, like Bonhoffer, and that the nightmare though brutal, was quelled rather quickly.
But Jews sadly didn't see what was happening until it had become hideous. Thank God too for people like Schindler. And the mystery woman, an American spy.
Thank God for hindsight.
What happened to Germany in the 1930s and 40s is nothing short of tragic. I have wanted to weep over this. Germans were amazing and wonderful people. The corruption that took place should teach us what to avoid.
More than anything it came from false Christianity.
But the Germans were sought after by a satanic agenda, every weakness exploited, sought after to corrupt, to destroy them.
Gee that reminds me of someone else. This happened to the Germans bc they had done something right, just as America did something very right.
Minnesota did something very right. Black people have told me how happy their lives were in Minnesota. No race riots during the 1960s.
And all of this for the Germans and for America began with great acts of courage. And it can only continue with great acts of courage.
Germany, sought after by evil, had at last helped the entire world to find that "perfect love that casts out fear."
